1. How to Cancel

Cancelling your ProTeach subscription is straightforward. You have two options:

Option A — Cancel via the Parent Portal

  1. Log in to your account at proteachhomelearning.com.
  2. Navigate to Account SettingsSubscription.
  3. Click “Cancel Subscription”.
  4. Confirm your cancellation when prompted.
  5. You will receive a confirmation email at your registered address.

Option B — Cancel via Email

Email us at support@proteachhomelearning.com with the subject line “Cancel My Subscription” from the email address associated with your account. Include your account holder name so we can locate your account quickly. We will process your cancellation and send a confirmation email within 1 business day.

You may also call us at (917) 932-2465 during business hours and a team member will assist you. Note that email cancellations create an automatic written record, which we recommend for your own records.

2. When Cancellation Takes Effect

ProTeach subscriptions are billed on a weekly cycle. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current weekly billing period, not immediately upon request.

  • Access through period end: Once you cancel, you retain full access to all lessons, materials, and portal features through the last day of the weekly period you have already paid for. You will not lose access mid-week.
  • No future charges: After cancellation, your subscription will not renew and you will not be charged for any future weeks.
  • Timing matters: If a weekly charge has already processed when you request cancellation, that charge covers the current week — cancellation takes effect at that week's end. We do not refund a charge that has already gone through for the current week (see our Refund Policy).
  • Confirmation email: You will receive an email confirming your cancellation and the date your access will end. Keep this email for your records.

Example

If your billing week runs Monday to Sunday and you cancel on Wednesday, your subscription remains active through Sunday. Starting Monday, your access will end and no further charges will occur.

3. Cancelling During Your Free Trial

Cancelling during your 14-day free trial is even simpler — and you will never be charged.

  • Cancel before trial ends = $0 charge: If you cancel at any point before your 14-day free trial expires, your payment method will not be charged — not even a partial amount.
  • Trial access after cancellation: After cancelling during the trial, you may continue to use the service until the end of the 14-day trial period. On day 15, your access will end and your card will not be charged.
  • How to cancel during trial: Use either method described in Section 1 (Portal Settings or email). The same process applies — just initiate it before your trial end date.
  • When does the trial end? Your trial end date and time is shown in the Parent Portal on your Subscription page. A reminder email will be sent 24 hours before your trial converts to a paid subscription.

4. What Happens After Cancellation

Here is a clear timeline of what happens once your subscription ends:

1

Day of subscription end

Portal access (for both Parent and Student) is deactivated at the end of your last paid billing period. Lessons and materials are no longer accessible.

2

Days 1–30 after cancellation

Your account enters a 30-day grace period. Your data (account information, child profiles, lesson history, and progress records) is retained securely. You may reactivate your subscription at any time during this period and regain immediate access to all your previous data.

3

Day 30 after cancellation

Portal login access is permanently revoked. Your data continues to be retained internally for up to 12 months total from cancellation date (see our Privacy Policy — Data Retention) to allow for reactivation or dispute resolution. After 12 months, all personal data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems.

5. Exporting Your Data

We believe your data belongs to you. Before your portal access ends (within the 30-day grace period after cancellation), you have the ability to export your learning data.

  • What can be exported: Lesson history, quiz scores, progress records, and any materials your Teacher Companion made available as downloadable PDFs.
  • How to export: Log in to the Parent Portal within your 30-day grace period. Navigate to Account Settings Export Data. A downloadable file will be generated within a few minutes.
  • After 30 days: Once portal access is revoked on day 30, you can no longer log in to export data directly. To request a data export after this point, email us at support@proteachhomelearning.com within 12 months of your cancellation date and we will provide an export within 14 business days.
  • Format: Progress data is exported in CSV format. Downloaded lesson PDFs are provided as individual PDF files.

6. Reactivating Your Account

We would love to have you back. Reactivating your ProTeach subscription is easy and available at any time.

  • Within 30 days of cancellation: Log in to the portal with your existing credentials. Navigate to Account Settings Subscription and click “Reactivate Subscription.” Your existing child profiles, lesson history, and preferences will all be exactly as you left them. Your new billing week begins immediately upon reactivation.
  • After 30 days (within 12 months): Contact us at support@proteachhomelearning.com and we will restore your account and data. You will then be able to log in and resubscribe from the portal.
  • After 12 months: After 12 months, all your data has been permanently deleted. You are welcome to create a new account and start fresh. The 14-day free trial is not available on reactivated or new accounts created by previous subscribers.
  • No waiting period: There is no waiting period to resubscribe. Your Teacher Companion will be notified and will prepare your lessons for the new billing week.

7. No Cancellation Fees

ProTeach charges no cancellation fees, early termination fees, or penalties of any kind for cancelling your subscription.

  • There is no minimum subscription duration. You may subscribe for a single week and cancel immediately after without any additional charge.
  • Cancelling during any week — including your first paid week — results in no additional fees. You simply will not be billed for the following week.
  • Downgrading your plan (e.g., from Premium to Base) is also free. Plan changes take effect at the start of your next billing week.
  • If you believe you have been charged a fee that is not described in this policy or our Refund Policy, please contact us immediately at support@proteachhomelearning.com.
