Refund Policy

Effective Date: February 20, 2026 · Last Updated: February 20, 2026

This Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which ProTeach Home Learning issues refunds and credits. We want every family to feel confident in subscribing, which is why we offer a risk-free 14-day free trial before any charges occur.

By subscribing to our services, you agree to the terms of this Refund Policy. This policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.

Policy at a Glance

14-day free trial. No charge at all.

Service outage credits for 3+ day disruptions

No refunds for partial weeks after billing starts

No refunds for unused lessons within a paid week

1. Fourteen-Day Free Trial

All new ProTeach subscribers receive a 14-day free trial before any charges are applied.

  • No charge during trial: You will not be billed anything during the 14-day trial period, regardless of how much of the service you use.
  • Payment method required at enrollment: A valid credit or debit card must be provided via Stripe when you sign up. Your card will not be charged until the trial period ends.
  • Cancel before trial ends, no charge ever: If you cancel your subscription before the 14-day trial period expires, you will never be charged. Your account will remain accessible until the end of the trial period and will not convert to a paid subscription.
  • Trial converts automatically: If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically begins and your payment method on file will be charged the weekly rate for your selected plan.
  • One trial per family: The free trial is available to new subscribers only. Creating additional accounts to obtain multiple free trials is a violation of our Terms of Service and may result in account termination.

2. No Partial-Week Refunds

Because ProTeach operates on a weekly subscription model and lesson materials are prepared and made available at the start of each billing week, we do not issue refunds for partial weeks under ordinary circumstances.

  • Once a weekly billing period has begun and you have been charged, that week's fee is non-refundable, regardless of how many lessons your child accessed during that week.
  • If you cancel your subscription mid-week, your cancellation will take effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You will retain full access to all lessons and content for the remainder of the week you have already paid for.
  • We do not issue prorated refunds for days within a billing week not used, for changes in lesson engagement, or for dissatisfaction with lesson content after access has been granted — except as described in Section 3 (Service Outage Credits) below.

We encourage all prospective subscribers to make full use of the 14-day free trial to evaluate whether ProTeach is right for their family before committing to a paid subscription.

3. Service Outage Credits

ProTeach recognizes that technical issues can sometimes disrupt access to the platform. If our service is genuinely unavailable due to a platform-side failure, we will issue a credit under the following conditions:

  • Eligibility threshold: If our platform is inaccessible or substantially non-functional for 3 or more consecutive days within a single billing week due to a ProTeach system failure (not including planned maintenance announced in advance), affected subscribers will receive a prorated service credit.
  • Credit amount: The credit will be calculated as the per-day rate of your weekly subscription (weekly rate ÷ 7) multiplied by the number of days the service was unavailable, rounded to the nearest dollar. Credits are applied to your next billing cycle, not issued as cash refunds.
  • How to request: Credits must be requested by emailing support@proteachhomelearning.com within 14 days of the outage. Include your account email and the dates of the disruption.
  • What does not qualify: Outages caused by your own internet service, device issues, browser incompatibility, or third-party services (e.g., Stripe payment processing downtime) do not qualify for credits. Planned maintenance periods communicated at least 48 hours in advance do not qualify.

ProTeach will review all credit requests in good faith and respond within 5 business days. We reserve the right to verify reported outages against our system logs.

4. Cancellation & Billing Timing

Understanding how cancellation timing interacts with billing will help you avoid unexpected charges:

  • Effect of cancellation: When you cancel your subscription, your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current weekly billing period. You will not be charged for any future weeks.
  • Access through period end: You retain full access to all lessons and content through the last day of your current paid billing period.
  • Timing your cancellation: To avoid being charged for the following week, you must cancel before your next billing date. Cancellations submitted after the weekly charge has already processed will take effect at the end of that newly paid billing period.
  • No cancellation fees: There are no fees, penalties, or minimum subscription periods. You may cancel at any time.

For step-by-step cancellation instructions, see our Cancellation Policy.

5. Billing Disputes

If you believe you have been charged in error, or if you have a billing concern, please contact us before initiating a dispute with your bank or card issuer. We resolve the vast majority of billing issues quickly and fairly.

  • Email us at support@proteachhomelearning.com with the subject line “Billing Dispute” and include your account email, the charge date, and a description of the issue.
  • We commit to responding to all billing dispute inquiries within 3 business days.
  • If we determine that an error occurred on our part, we will issue a correction promptly, either as a credit to your next billing period or, where a charge was clearly erroneous, as a refund to your original payment method via Stripe.

6. Chargebacks

A chargeback (also called a payment dispute) is when a cardholder asks their bank to reverse a charge. We take fraudulent chargebacks seriously and will contest them.

  • Please contact us first: If you have a billing concern, please email us before filing a chargeback with your bank. We almost always resolve genuine billing issues faster than the chargeback process takes.
  • Fraudulent chargebacks: If a chargeback is filed for a charge that was legitimate and in accordance with these Terms — for example, after using the service during a paid billing period or after failing to cancel before a trial ended — ProTeach will contest the chargeback with your card issuer and provide full documentation, including access logs, subscription records, and these Terms.
  • Account suspension: Accounts subject to a chargeback dispute will be suspended immediately pending resolution of the dispute.
  • Account termination: A confirmed fraudulent chargeback may result in permanent account termination and, where applicable, referral for collections.
